Serenity Hygiene helps WightFibre engineers stay safe

When the global COVID-19 pandemic struck, the Isle of Wight's own telecommunications provider, WightFibre, had a difficult task at hand; how to keep it's customers and engineers safe, while still being able to attend customer premises to maintain the island's critical telecommunications network.

At a time when the network was being relied upon more than ever for vital business and personal communications, it was imperative that WightFibre engineers were able to perform their tasks without unnecessary risk.

WightFibre Managing Director John Irvine explains further:

"Since March our office staff have worked from home, but even before then we performed a Coronavirus risk assessment and made changes to our headquarters; including hand sanitiser stations positioned throughout the building. Because of supply shortages we struggled to secure a reliable supply of liquid to fill those dispensers. Serenity were able to quickly supply an ample amount of hand sanitiser for our offices and our engineering crews who continue to work on maintenance, repairs and capacity improvements to ensure our phone and broadband service continues running smoothly at this difficult time."

Serenity's Antiviral/Antibacterial Foaming Hand Sanitiser proved a perfect match for WightFibre's requirements; it's alcohol-free formula is BSEN tested against Coronavirus, Ebola, MRSA, and a number of other viruses/bacteria, it meets NHS requirements for hand sanitiser (BSEN 1500) and because of it's non-flammable formula it's safe to store in large quantities and in engineer's vehicles.

"We loved working with WightFibre, their slogan is 'because we care', it's clearly not just marketing fluff and is demonstrated by the way they conduct themselves every single day, it matches perfectly with the ethos of the entire team here at Serenity and I look forward to working with our new friends just over the solent in the future." - Serenity Hygiene.
